Endless Aisle (part 2)

Earlier this year, we rolled out our Endless Aisle options from within WinPOS. As one customer has dubbed this feature, ‘Never Miss a Sale’, the idea for this is that orders are taken when stock is out, but available elsewhere.

The order is taken, the money is taken, then Harmony is left to determine the best location to distribute the order. Customers with a streamlined ‘web order management’ process found this to work seamlessley. While this is great, the downside is the requirement for a ‘customised allocation logic’ to handle these orders, eg. an order from NSW would preferably be dealt with my another location within NSW.

Part 2 to the Endless Aisle project has allowed customers to manually select the fulfilment location of ‘Endless Aisle’ orders. The stock level of the selected location is displayedwhile creating the order.

This benefits everyone. Those customers with a customised allocation logic found a way to override this logic. Better still, every other customer without an allocation logic can benefit from this feature.
